We watched Finn's team play against Australia's Mossman Cudos from Queensland who are on tour over the holidays. They played a great game, working hard the whole time, but losing in the end. It was good to see Finn totally embroiled in the game and he gained 3 points towards the seasons total for working hard in 'the engine room'. Then we went to set the Sinclairs up with snowboards for tomorrow (Spook cant go as he is now working tomorrow), and then we walked up to Diamond Lake. It was a different kind of place from the one we visited in February. The kids loved the frozen world. And we had a wee Tai Chi session at the top. These poses are well recognised in the world of Crouching Tigers and Shrinking Dragons.
The children had a session on the snowboards at home to familiaries themselves with some of the moves. Finn and Hamish perfected their 180degree turns. Now to apply it to a slippy surface.......
grateful for:
fine venison for tea, hunted from the wilds of Wangapeka!
