Ginger Genes.

Finn and Sam are related by some very distant link, that much is obvious. Once Sam grows a full beard, it will be even more apparent. In the other picture is Mandy, who is also from New York and is a friend of Sams family and now a friend of Meg. They skied and boarded together today. I managed to link my turns a bit more smoothly, but still fall off the chair lift every time. You can just see Finn and Sam about to disappear round the corner of the 'Queenstown Return' on their last run of the day. Finn is staying at Sams again and Meg stayed at home while Spook and I took in a couple of films at the festival. A mountain bike one and a ski-ing one. Both of which were fun for about 15 mins but went on for about an hour a piece. The skiers were helicoptered to the top of mountains in Alaska and then skied down. Or rather fell down the steepest, crazy mountains on their skis. Never seen anything quite like it, but it lost it's appeal eventually. Too many egos needing aired.

Spook is back to work tomorrow. Meg is tired from climbing and boarding. It remains to be seen if any of us make it up the mountain tomorrow, but if the weather is anything like today, we may have to abandon Meg and do a few runs.

We note on the TV adverts that Subway, the fastfood cafe, are doing a mid-winter christmas sub this week. I wonder if we should have Christmas dinner with Roddy, Robbi et famille when they come down next week.

grate/greatful for:

Sam bringing out Finns relaxed side. Last night they did a joint speach at dinner for Mandy's leaving meal. Tonight they made up a play and performed it for Mandy. ( we didn't have the pleasure of seeing it). It usually takes a long time for others to see that side of Finn.
