We all relaxed and played about, while Meg went to work. It was very exciting dropping her off at her first ever job and getting a big hug as she headed out of the car with a big grin on her face. She txted with a request for some lunch to be brought to her, so Robbie, Roddy and all the children took some over and went in for the speciality chilli hot chocolate. Meg served it up in the teapots and was able to join them while she ate her lunch. She was sporting an apron and has been waiting at tables, serving, clearing up, putting the rubbish out, chopping, washing dishes. It is the full day from 10am until 6pm. I think I have worked one full day since I got here! I have to pick her up and take her over to Stacey's house to baby sit straight after. That's when she moves more into her fathers hours of work. I have to do an early blog so that I can give her the internet stick. She will be able to keep herself awake with that teenage ability to MSN endlessly with friends. I just hope I can stay awake long enough to get her home at the end of the night.
http://www.jumpingtangents.co.nz/ is the company she is working for. (see 'JT store now open. She works in 'The Little Brown House'.
WE had a browse around the recycling centre, ate, talked, cycled, talked, ate. And for those lucky enough, drank hot chocolate. (Spook and I were too scared to go in).
greatful for:
the excellent rate of pay that Meg is being offered, and our improved financial circumstances.
A generous daughter that will no doubt wish to share her good fortune with us.
