No Albatross, but a good chance of seeing a Chicken.

All well at home. Daughter returned safely and Finn absorbed by The Crone family next door. Phew.

No Albatross' or penguins for the girls it would seem as there is expected to be a 2m swell at sea for 2 days and no-one will be able to approach that way. Stacey keeping them right in their best moves to maximise their time before they come back to stay with us for a couple of days by Thursday. Lisa made the mistake of saying she was scared of cows. Stacey is from the hard school of knocks and reckons the cure is to glue bread to Lisa and strap her out in the paddock with her pet sheep, donkey, pig and chickens. I hope this process doesn't last too long so that Lisa will be able to enjoy the rest of her visit. Stacey has been wondering why her chickens don't lay, but the children say that everytime they look in the paddock the donkey, pig or sheep have their heads in the hen house, eating their food, and the chickens have headed for the trees.

For a report on Spooks version of the race, look at http://www.nofussevents.co.uk/ as soon as he can make the system work. He's written it but is struggling to get it posted. Look under Spooks Blog and persevere if it's not there just now as it will be there soon as. And he says I was 2nd in my category because we discovered that the girl who came first, didn't do the last 5k, but forgot to tell anyone.
