It rained last night but was a warm, windy morning. By the time we got organised to go out for a walk, up in the Cardrona direction, the weather was closing in. But as hardy Scot's, a wee bit of rain wasn't going to put US off. As we got out the truck, the drops of rain were huge and within 60 seconds, I had shot back into it. Spook wasn't far behind me. Thankfully, The Cardrona Inn was just a short drive away, so we allocated this day to romance. Unfortunatley, niether of us are used to drinking in the middle of day and Spook nearly fell asleep in the pub. I nodded off in the car on the way home. My head lolling about the place was not romantic. This is supposedly the pub where Aragon was first introduced into the story of Lord of The Rings. Built in 1863, it's just about as old as it gets round here.
The day continued on as wet as. Looks like big rain tomorrow and snow at 750m. Thankfully the athletic part of the week is being taken up by Ollie. They were going to do 95km round Lake Hawea, but it is closed in preparation for the very race that they were training for, on the 25th April. So they are going out on a road cycle instead. Of course, I'd love to go out for a cycle with Spook tomorrow, but I recognize his need to train!! I will look into the creative options. Spook did a quick assessment of the weather and was pretty sure he wouldn't go out in this in Scotland iether. Stove on and a snuggle in for all of us tonight. Meg has a nasty infection in her leg from a bump on a table on Friday. She is on antibiotics and a bit crook. Watching Desperate Housewives will keep her mind of it for a while.
