Spook cycled to Cromwell and back with Ollie and clocked 110k. He crawled into the house and assumed the recovery position. They were against the wind all the way home and were travelling 15km an hour for about 2hrs.
I went for a gentle walk, but was recalled fairly quickly as Meg's leg was giving her jip and her Health teacher advised her to come home. I occupied myself with washing our many windows and tending to my daughters needs. We went back to the doctor as the red patch on her leg has spread. He has doubled her dose of antibiotics, which didn't make her feel good, but she's fine now (apart from the large red patch).
Spook managed not to get rained on, but the snow is well down the mountains and they are promising 'biting Southerlies' tomorrow. I have to work in the morning, but we are going for a wee run in the afternoon. WE WILL NOT BE PUT OFF BY RAIN. (Well, I might).
On our romantic return from the pub yesterday, I suggested we call in to the recycling centre on the way past - just for a look. He said there was no way I could 'just call in' and not spend any money. I said I could. He came out clutching a pair of snowboard pants and a Sloch pair of bibbed overtrousers - made in Poolewe! For $10. ($20 for the snowboard troos).
