Crushed, Flaky Protest.

This family were bringing the sheep home on Sunday round at Hawea. I just put it on as I have no pictures of my day today.

Went for a run up in The Sticky Woods after a quick make-over of the house. Beautiful morning with another of Roddy's hard frosts. Will need to buy thick socks for that hour or so before the house warms up with the sun.

Then over to Maggie's for coffee where I drank and yarned with her and her partner Mike, where it developed into lunch and wine. I got home at 3pm, having had a lovely day. Took Meg to Yoga and Finn and Thomas to rowing and then shopped and cooked the tea as Josh was coming over. He and Spook were planning their next ride.

Meg and Finn were planning a half share in a dog with the neighbours but the deal fell through. Maybe that is a good thing! It would have been a major culture shock to be sharing the house with a Jack Russell. Finn started a hunger strike as a protest, but was broken down by the offer of crushed flake and chocolate raisins in yoghurt.

If I can get my work done by 1.30pm tomorrow, I can join the girls for tennis at Albert Town. They are hiding from the Wanaka Tennis Club as they have Social Tennis on a Friday, and as newly trained ladies we are now expected to move onto that step. One of the girls tried it and got pelted by ferocious serves. As most of ours just manage to drop over the net, when we get lucky, this was not conducive to a fun morning out. We enjoy hearing how many legs Gemma has waxed, toilets I have cleaned and premises Zoe has had to close down due to hygiene issues. Maggie works hard to keep our minds on the game and from which side we are now serving.
