Thinking........

DEAR SPOOK, so you are up in the north of the island now. Nelson is lovely and I do hope you get to swim in that surf. Finn was wishing he could swim in it again too. I think the warm sea and the waves were a big highlight for the children. It will be bitter sweet to see The Sinclairs as it will be a good while before you see them again. A bbq up at Marion and Glen's amazing hilltop villa will be wonderful. Hope Marion doesn't run you off your feet when she takes you on a pre dinner run. You will not be the only one who has got fitter this last wee while. And I hope you get your cycle with Josh.
I went to work just ahead of the children this morning and ws home just ahead of them. Not so tomorrow, but they are taking that in their stride and I managed to have a bit of quality time with each of them tonight. Meg was listening to an old CD she had put together 7 years ago and laughing at her choices then. That was whilst putting up more christmas lights, of course. Finn did well with his Dickens homework, but failed French. He seems to have failed on his English spelling, so I have written a note to remind her he is dyslexic. He even likes French! So don't want him to be discouraged.
I checked the caravans didn't have burst pipes and tried, but failed to turn the water off, before the next frost arrives. Lo and behold, without even blogging it, Granny phoned to say that your father would be down tomorrow to turn off the water! Now I only need to think it!
In fact, in between coffees the other day, I had a look in Fatface. They have a beautiful woolen dress that I thought Granny could knit no bother. NOw............sit back and wait...................

Hi Mo, thanks for the message. I went to the Sinclairs last night and cought up with Spook. Robbi say's he's love sick and has lost weight so she is feeding him up with lashings of olive oil etc- cleverly overcoming his objections with 'its good for your skin'. Poor Spook had a complexion complex by the end of the night! Anyway, Im going to undo her hard work by taking him out tomorrow for a ride and make him work. I hope your all settling well back home- Spook seemed ready to leave his bachelor digs and be reunited with his family and I think he is counting the hours now!

Thanks Josh. I have been looking forward to seeing his Abs, and now they are going to disappear in lashings of oil and he'll have an outbreak of acne. I think he has been enjoying his wee boy skinny look and has been jumping on your scales to confirm the loss. He is really looking forward to getting out on the bike with you. We are all contented now that it is so close to him coming home. It has been a bit of a long haul, settling back in, but feels ok now. Think you are in a great place over there. x
