2 days to go

We leave for New Zealand on 2nd October, for 2 years. The house is upside down, nothing's packed, and we're still recovering from the party. Will only be able to take stock of the party when we get to NZ. My art school community has been represented by Linda, Bob, Neil and Linda, who are still here, in the rain soaked Highlands. Richard will still be here until we throw him out on Wednesday. It has been amazing that they made the effort to come up to a wet, noisy field to say goodbye. Spook and I thought it was a wrench when we moved here 12yrs ago from 12 miles up the road. This great adventure doesn't come without tears, and real sadness at not being part of this wonderful community, some of whom were out in torrential rain yesterday helping to take down the big tent. We will need to make NZ part of our extended community. Friends and family that we don't see often enough remind us of how lucky we are.
